In short, most homeowners prefer to get their air conditioner maintenance performed in the Spring and the heater maintenance performed in the Fall. While this is a great practice to have, the truth is that it doesn’t matter what time of year it is performed. If a technician is experienced he/she will know how to test your system in the proper mode no matter what season it is.
The real important thing is how often you should have it done. Equipment manufacturers require you to have your system maintained at least once a year by a licensed HVAC company to keep the warranty valid. However, dirt build up can start clogging your unit’s coils in just 6 months. We recommend that you have your HVAC maintenance performed twice a year to keep it running efficiently and get the most life out of it.
What happens when your unit’s coils are clogged up? Air cannot flow freely like it needs to so your unit will have to work harder to deliver. As a result, more energy dollars are spent, more breakdowns happen, and the life of your HVAC system is shortened.
Anyone who has had to have their HVAC system replaced recently knows just how expensive the investment is. Make sure you protect that investment so you get the most out of your money and reap the benefits of staying comfortable during demand season. Call to schedule your air conditioner maintenance if you haven’t done so yet.
Our yearly maintenance agreements will include 2 visits so you can keep your heating and air unit performing it’s best. We are always here to keep you comfortable.
